Knowledge Transfer 2.0: CSI: Digital Forensics

In the highly romanticized culture that surrounds forensic science, it’s difficult to think about computer forensics or “digital forensics” without images of dimly lit CSI labs filled with computer chips and arbitrary blinking lights.

VPN on the cheap… Using PUTTY to tunnel VNC through SSH (Part 3)

By now, you have connected to an SSH host using PUTTY.  PUTTY is configured to tunnel port 5900 to a VNC host on the same network as the machine running SSH.

Even Higher Availability

As the competition heats up with new technology advancements and partnerships, VMware continues to look for ways to improve their industry leading (based on market share not necessarily on marketing lingo or personal opinion) Virtual Infrastructure product. In their latest release, called vSphere, they improve features for high availability.

VMware Fault Tolerance (FT) is integrated with VMware High Availability (HA) and allows for the failover of virtual machines (VM) without a loss in service.
