Most, if not all, Linux administrators or technicians use the command line to work with their servers. And one of the most popular tools for accessing Linux from a Windows/Linux workstation is PuTTY.
Personally, it drives me crazy that I cannot use the Home or End keys for cursor movement in Putty when working on a SLES server. Turns out, this is not an issue with PuTTY, but with the server itself. Here’s the fix…
