Setting up an instance of Microsoft Application Virtualization, I ran into an issue I’ve seen before but never had time to resolve. Having sequenced Microsoft Office for deployment, I reverted the Sequencer VM and sequenced Adobe Acrobat Reader.

C/D/H’s internal phone and conferencing system was recently upgraded to Microsoft Lync. And since I like to take calls on the road, I often schedule meetings during this time.
I minimize time in the median getting connected by adding a calendar entry to my phone with a pre-programmed dial sequence that connects me as an authenticated user, with all the power of a Lync “Presenter”, albeit dialed in.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like there’s a lot of incorrect information about the migration path from Novell to Microsoft floating around out there. It’s more like there’s no information at all.
For those of you still relying on dependable, old NetWare and eDirectory, and looking at the reality of “getting the red out”, you’re probably finding that there isn’t a lot of up-to-date information about making the change.

Never has there been more choice in the market for mobile devices, and Windows Mobile 7 is about ready to add more options to the mix! C/D/H supports and encourages mobile device freedom which has led to really rich device debates and discussions. We have iPhone 3Gs and 4s, Android OS-based phones of all sorts, Palms, Blackberrys and Windows Mobile devices.
