VDI, short for virtual desktop infrastructure, is a frequently heard industry term for remote desktop connectivity to a variety of endpoints. Today, these endpoints can be the traditional full workstations, thin clients, or even tablets and smartphones. And these desktops can be accessed internally or remotely.

Today is day one of the Citrix Synergy conference, following two action-packed days of the Citrix Partner Summit.
