It’s time to upgrade from XP. Really!

There we all were, at a board meeting of a well-known and highly regarded nonprofit on which I serve. We were all happy that we were going to watch the spectacular LipDub video the facility made with film students from Grand Valley State University.

The tech guy hit “play.” We all smiled — we couldn’t help ourselves, because the video was just too funny. But just two or three minutes in, the media player locked up and rebooted.

Crickets.

As recent headlines tell us, you should secure your voice mail

The latest Murdoch debacle, in which staffers at a British scandal sheet allegedly hacked into the private voice mail boxes of both the royals and murder victims created a wave of fear about invasion of privacy, this time in voice mail communications.
