Why is my site read only?
The other day a client contacted me with a problem, and it led me down an unfamiliar path. Their server became non-responsive overnight.

iPhone and iPad Time Zone Support
Prior to traveling down to Tech·Ed this past week, I used their online session schedule builder and downloaded all my sessions to my Outlook Calendar. When I got to New Orleans, my phone automatically changed from Eastern Standard Time and I flipped over my laptop manually. This, of course, uncovered an oversight on my part. I imported all the sessions in my normal time zone. I quickly re-synced the Tech·Ed session builder via my laptop and everything looked great. Except on my iPhone….

Watch out, Exchange Online is going to be a player in the marketplace!
This is my first time at Tech Ed. I’ve been able to talk with a lot of Microsoft product managers, and have a deeper understanding on where the products are currently, and where they’re headed in near term.
One of more interesting sessions I attended was using Exchange 2010 to achieve Rich Coexistence with Exchange Online.

BI for the Masses at the BI Conference 2010
I’m finishing up my week at the Microsoft Business Intelligence conference. The conference was co-located with Microsoft Tech Ed this year, which seemed to work well, as there was access to SharePoint, SQL server and other experts and vendors.

First Two Days at TechEd – Cloud Computing and Virtualization
After two days at Microsoft TechEd, it’s easy to see the theme: cloud computing. Similar to the strategic direction discussed at the VMware Partner Conference in February, Microsoft has stated the importance of cloud computing and how Azure is a main focus moving forward.
