We have been attending the Worldwide Partner Conference before there was a conference so named for Microsoft partners. In 1997 we were not yet partners, but Denise Heitkemper invited us to come to Microsoft FusionTech in San Diego. I attended and was blown away!
It was there that we heard the Microsoft vision and Mahan Khalsa who has since changed our sales approach. The next year the Worldwide Partner Conference was born and C/D/H officially became a partner and we have been going ever since.
In all the years we’ve attended, this was the first in a down (worldwide) economy. Yet there was tremendous optimism by the partners and by Microsoft. Not an empty optimism – an optimism that is grounded in the knowledge that we have the knowledge, tools, abilities and will to win in this economy.
You can’t leave one of these conferences without being pumped up and more connected. As I have said of past WPC conferences, this is one of the best conferences for focusing on building our business, challenging our assumptions and engaging our minds with new possibilities. This one will go down as one of the best.
