I enjoy learning, using and helping others through technology. This is my fourth year with C/D/H after many years of consulting for numerous small and mid-sized companies. I enjoy challenging projects and continual improvement in all areas. Most recently, I have been working to help grow the unified communications and virtualization practices at C/D/H.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family. My girls keep me extremely busy but are always the highlight of my day.

In the event you have Entourage clients accessing your Exchange 2007 environment, please make sure you install Update Rollup 5. The Entourage client causes the OWAappPool to crash.

I was recently (this morning) troubleshooting this very issue at a client. After moving Exchange 2003 mailboxes to Exchange 2007 we started experiencing failures on the application pool used by Outlook Web Access. We moved a handful of users in the IT Department and one was an Entourage user. We experienced a crash of the application pool the next day and at the time we didn’t know what caused it. The next phase of user moves happened a couple days later and included a couple additional Entourage users. The application pool crashed three times over a three day period.

After some research on the World Wide Web and a friendly call with Microsoft Support, we were able to determine the Entourage client issue with Exchange 2007. After installing Exchange Server 2007 SP1 Update Rollup 5 the warnings in the event log have gone away (like I wish the Entourage clients would!)
